Structural JSON comparison

The comparison parses both documents before walking their objects and arrays. Object key order and formatting are ignored, while differences in properties, types, values, and array positions are reported with precise JSON paths.

Readable difference categories

Added entries appear only on the right, removed entries only on the left, and changed entries show both values. This makes API responses and configuration revisions easier to review.

JSON Compare FAQ

Does property order affect the result?

No. JSON objects are compared by property name, so documents with the same properties in a different order are treated as equal.

Does array order affect the result?

Yes. Arrays are ordered, so items are compared by index. Moving an item can therefore produce multiple changed positions.
